USB
Q. Why won't my ZIP-LINQ Mini 5 Pin USB charge my Motorola Razr?
A. Both models of the Motorola Razr require a driver loaded on the PC to tell
the phone to charge. Check your model and download drivers here:
V3,
V3C. After downloading and unzipping, plug in your phone. When your
computer goes to look for a driver for the phone, point it to the directory
your unzipped file created. After a reboot the phone should charge whenever
plugged into the USB port. If you also want sync function you would need
additional software. We recommend
Datapilot.
Q. Are ZIP-LINQ USB Cables USB 2.0 Rated?
A. Because of their compact wire size Zip-Linq USB cables with part #'s
ZIP-USB-C0X are rated USB 1.1 only.
The new ZIP-LINQ skus with part #'s ZIP-USB2-C0X are rated to support USB 2.0

IPAQ 41XX
Q. Why won't my 41xx series iPaq PDA charge?
A. The 41xx series is very power hungry and requires full power to the USB port

USB CHARGER - NOTEBOOK PORT ERROR
Q. Why do I get an over current error or unknown USB device error when I plug
in my Zip-Linq USB charger cable to my laptop?
A. We are finding that there are a lot of new laptops being released that are
designed to be low price economy models. These laptops
cannot support any USB charging cables right from the USB port on the laptop.
The only way to solve this problem is to add a small
powered USB hub at the USB port on the laptop. This is a change the notebook
manufacturers are making to keep costs down and it
affects all USB charging cables, not just Zip-Linq. Please test the
cable on a regular PC to make sure it works on a
standard USB port.
AC TO USB ADAPTER
Q. I plug into a hotel outlet and my AC adapter won't charge.
A. Most hotels use GFI (Ground Fault Interrupt) outlets with a built in
breaker. Make sure the breaker is reset before plugging the ZIP-PWR-AC
into it.
